help!!!!!
There are other proteins... Vegetarian and egg and soy... Maybe pick up several sample packs at a GNC? I love the tropical smoothie cafe protein additives. Jay Robb has a supplement that you would never believe is a protein shake. My fave non protein taste was chocolate unjury with lite soy milk. Can you do peanut butter or egg whites? I have no knowledge on the pills, sorry.
GL to you!
I haven't tried the protein tablets. Since they only have about one gram of protein per tablet, you'd have to chew 20-30 of them to get as much protein as you'd get from one shake.
Drink your shake from a cup with a lid. Can't smell it so much that way.
If you like coffee, try a vanilla or chocolate protein powder with a spoonful of decaf coffee. Or, try protein powder in hot decaf coffee (to do this, mix the protein with a couple ounces of water to make a paste, then stir that into the hot coffee. The coffee smell covers up the protein smell pretty good.

I love the Crystal Sky flavored Nectar. and the fuzzy navel ones good too. It doesn't have any protein taste to me at all. I have found that Nectar is the only protein drink that I can tolerate. I learned the hard way and ended up in the emergency room getting re-hydrated about 3 weeks out.
Hang in there you just have to experiment a bit and find one that works! :)
I had the same issue. Over time I have realized a few things:
1) I can no longer tolerate milk. I mix them with water instead.
2) Chocolate protein shakes are vastly improved by PB2 which is a powdered peanut butter you can get on amazon.
3) Syntrax Matrix perfect chocolate is OK - and Syntrax Matrix mint cookie is quite nice. Expensive but worth it.
4) Syntrax Nectar mixed with water (and ice if you like it cold) are nice. My faves are strawberry mousse and fuzzy navel. I put a whole 16oz bottle of water in them so there are not clumps of powder left.
5) You need a blender bottle with a steel ball in there to eliminate clumps. Got mine at Walmart for about $6 or so - located near the weight loss supplements. BONUS - you are drinking thru a small hole and therefore can't smell it as much.
6) experiment with different temperatures. Personally, room temp is a no-go for me. I like it ice cold.
7) I do enjoy warm/hot beverages too. Alpine sugar free apple cider is great - but you may need to add unflavored protein for now.
8) treat your protein shakes as MEDICINE for now just like you would any other medication. drink up. dehydration can make you feel awful and land you in the ER for fluids. Sip sip sip and walk walk walk is solid advice that will HELP YOU.
9) lastly, I realized that no matter how much support I have in my life, it is up to me and me alone to suck it up and make it work.
Please hang in there and know you are not alone!!! Know that time will help. Never lose hope!!! Good things are coming your way. Patience and Persistence!
