Dreaming about food...

I am just under two months out from my surgery and I have been dreaming about food for the last week. Last night I was eating a big juicy steak in one dream and in another super cheesy enchiladas and pie with lots of whipped cream. I can't remember ever dreaming about food before. It is kind of strange. This happen to anyone else?

It happened to me at about two months out. I would dream about burgers and as I was eating them I would think," man, I better not eat this or i'm gonna get sick!"

I dont have those dreams anymore. They slowly went away.

A couple of times, but when I quit smoking, I had guilty dreams of lighting up for months. In the dream I would tell myself I was no longer a smoker and I better put the cigarette out. I always thought it was my mind's way of working through my new self concept, ie, from smoker to non smoker.

I dreamed about food for the 2 week diet before surgery.  The subconscious is trying to figure this surgery thing out!  LOL 

I dreamt last night that I forgot to do clear liquids the day before surgery and ate a calzone.  I was all freaked out they would find pepperoni in my intestines... lol

I'm so glad u posted this...I thought I was crazy ..last night I had a dream I was eating a meatloaf...

I had food dreams during my preop diet but none since surgery. Food really is not as important as it used to be.

I am seven weeks out and haven't yet.....but I sometimes daydream about food

I am 3 weeks post op and every night for the first week I dreamed about eating potato chips.  I haven't dreamed about food since.  But last night I dreamed that I rode my bike to work.  Things are looking up!

When I was about 2 months post op I dreamt about food alot it was so real almost like I could taste it....but then the dreams just quit.  For after about the first 6 months it really hit me that this is my life now....my life that's not filled with fast food, cheeseburgers or brownies.
