Can I bring my iPod into the sauna room at the gym without it being messed up or breaking?

Just curious, what weight loss benefits does the sauna have? My gym has one too.

I guess none, but I enjoy it. It cleanses out all the toxins and stuff. That's what I've been told anyway.

The sauna is awesome and there are weight loss benefits..your sweating...lol  but its also so good for you to sit in a sauna.  in finland new houses are required to have sauna's now.  I did see a kid in the sauna with a ipod the other day.  Not sure i would bring mine in because its soooo humid in there.  It probably wouldn't hurt it but i would rather not take a chance with my electronic SPENDY toys.  lol wink

I used to bring mine in there all the time.  As long as your not dripping sweat on it, it should be fine.  Don't bring it into the steam room.

It's probably fine since you only sit in there for short periods of time...but if you're worried about it, there is a "Swim Mp3" player you can buy.  My husband uses one when he swims laps.  Since it's waterproof, it would surely be safe in the sauna :)

i bring my iphone in all the time. i lay it on the bench next to me so i don't sweat on it or anything. as long as you aren't in there too long you should be fine. i know iphones (and im assuming the ipods too) have an automatic shut off when they are overheating. i've had it happen a few times being out by the pool in the summer
