Two years ago I started my journey, and it's been a long and winding road for me but two years ago I never ever EVER thought I'd be where I am now. I'm down over 145 lbs, have more energy, and am happier than I've been in years. This right now is the smallest I have ever been since I was in the fifth grade. That's like 16 years ago. Crazy. I have gone from a 26/28 and 2x-3x shirts down to a size 9 or 11 depending on the brand and Medium tops. I'm even wearing medium sized dresses and scrubs to work. Me, in a medium? Mind blown. The only downfall I had was having a lot of hanging tummy skin after the weight loss and I did opt for a tummy tuck that included a butt lift. (It's a fleur di lis technique in case you're a curious kitty) That to me was more rough than the actual bypass itself. I'm just now 6 weeks out from it and finally back up to somewhat decent energy levels. I read thru these a lot when I was first deciding on WLS and never thought I'd be a success story, but I feel as though I am. That's super cheesey I know, but really my mind is still trying to catch up to my body. Hope you all are having a wonderful Valentine's Day and all the best!
