Just curious when anyone started cardio workouts after their surgery? I was at the gym a lot before my surgery, and have been using the treadmill or the track since my surgery. I'm just walking right now, since that is what my discharge papers said. But I was curious when everyone was able to start back with cardio. My doctors office said after 4 weeks, but I'm going out of my mind now and that's 2 weeks away.

Walking only for 4 weeks. However, I don't have the energy to do much else.... struggling with the protein intake.

I was back in the gym 2 weeks post op walking on the treadmill by the time 3 weeks came around I was back to the elliptical the only thing I was asked to wait on was strentgh  training my abs he wanted me to wait 6-8 weeks. His rule of thumb was if it hurts stop. Those were the instructions I followed.

I was given a open pass to the gym at 6 weeks and told I can do whatever I want. Just did Zumba tonight!
