I had surgery on wednesdy to remove my gallbladder. While he was in he found a hernia and a kink in my small intestines and fixed both. Well I havent had a bowel movement since surgery. I havent really had much of an apitite so I havent hardly eaten. I was just wondering if I should call and let them know. Tomorrow will be day 6.

You should call

Yes, call.  A bowl obstruction can be very painful and may require you to go to the ER.  Ask if you can take MiraLAX as well.  I take it daily now as constipation is a real issue.  Good luck!

They told us in our seminar last week before surgery that during surgery the drugs make your bowels fall asleep sometimes people's don't wake up. So she said if you have not passed your bowels or passed gas in 24 hours to call them and go to the ER.

Have you passed gas?

I would call your Dr as that is the safest bet and it has been sometime.

Good Luck
