I have poison ivy and I'm on methyl prenison (sp?)

Does anyone know if a 'medro dose pack' of prednisone is bad for our stomachs? I have a BAD case of poison ivy (from the roots by the way - no leaves) and am so itchy a blistery that my doc put me on prednisone.  Not sure of the spelling there but this is a steroid.  I know we can't take naiads but how about SAIDS?

Prednisone,especially a short course of it, is just fine.
