What do you pay for your vitamins?

A family friend is concerned about the price of vitamins. It can't be close to the $200-$400 I spend on food each month.

I have celebrate vitamins shipped every 3 months. For that supply it cost me $103.85 with fre shipping since its over $100.00. I take their multivitamin 2x a day... calcium plus 500 3x a day...iron 1x a day... and get nature valley sublingual b12 5000mcg from walmart for less than 5.00 1x a day... as well as my omneprazole 1x a day for 1year per my surgeon. For me it is so much easier to just get them shipped then I don't have to remember to make sure I order them on time. Hope this helps.

I use Bariatric Fusion vitamins. I chew 4 a day. That's it. Nothing else to take. My labs have been great so far. They cost $24.99 a month and I get them through NashuaNutrition.com

Last time I did the math it was $1.06 per day.  So about $30 a month.  But then I still have to buy food every month, too.  And I buy protein supplements.

I just reordered some vitamins...if I broke it down to monthly it's about $30-40 per month I'd say.  But seeing as I'm eating WAY less, it's not breaking our budget because my food bill is easily $50-100 less per month!

I just wanted to mention, taking four Bariatric Fusion a day does NOT meet the ASMBS nutritional guidelines.  If you want to get the vitamins and minerals the ASMBS says you need, and prefer to use Bariatric Fusion, you'd have to take EIGHT of them a day PLUS B12 (sublingual, nasal spray, or shots), which would make your cost more than $50 per month.  I would also be concerned that doing that would increase your risk of kidney stones a lot since you'd be getting so much calcium carbonate from the Bariatric Fusion.

I take the Bariatric Fusion. My blood work is fine, and they were recommended by my surgeon.

Your surgery was less than two months ago, though.  It might not be fine in a year.  You can take whatever vitamins you want, of course,  I just wanted to make sure people were aware that they don't meet the ASMBS guidelines.
