Its really rich, full of fat, and not so much protein in it as you would think.    I would think it wouldn't sit all that well early out. I don't think it has to be off your plate forever, but I would wait until your weight has stabilized and you can use it as a treat food vs. introducing it early where you might fall into relying on it too often.

Also, you can make your own and replace some of the heavier richer things.  I make a shrimp bisque and I use skim milk and greek yogurt instead of the heavy cream.  I make the stock from the tails of a whole bunch of shrimp.   Its very tasty, but not as rich and heavy as the real thing.
