Dumb question probably.

Ok before surgery I knew my body and if I was constipated. Well after surgery not so sure. Can I get some info on how it may feel or how u know. I have felt very full for two days and my tummy hurts. Haven't eaten prob more than three tablespoons of food in three days. How do u get rid of it and prevent it. Thanks in advance.

Take some milk of magnesia.  That will clean you out in a few hours.  Then you can take Miralax on a regular basis or add Benefiber to your diet.

To me if feels like I need to poop but can't.  It feels pretty much the same as it did before surgery.

Yep, constipation feels the same post-op as it did pre-op.  That portion of your anatomy was not altered in any way.  I avoid the problem by mixing some Benefiber into my morning beverage (it is truly undetectable, even in plain water) most days.

I felt like you did - and yes, I was constipated.  It felt different than it did pre op because there was not a LOT of poop in there, it just wasn't moving.
