Chewable Multivitamin
Flintstones are apparently not complete enough, from what some of the vitamin experts here say. I know that a lot of surgeons recommend them, though.

No, they are not complete. They have NO selenium, NO vitamin K, and a type of vitamin A (beta carotene) that we can't absorb well due to lack of stomach acid, among other things. We are adults and we need adult vitamins.

I have 2 kinds.
One I got from The Vitamin Shoppe called Mini Multi's - they are small but they do not have iron - you have to take an iron pill too.
The other that I like the best is by Nature Made (I think, they are at the house); they are "39 percent" smaller ... Poet Kelly was not super happy with the Vitamin A in them, but I love the fact they are softgels and slide right down. I got those at BJ's. My NUT says they are fine. I am only 6 wks out - so no labs yet.
I still do sublingual B12 of course.

I didn't think post-op RNY patients were supposed to have gummy anything. Not vitamins, bears, worms, nada.... I was told that our pouch cannot 'digest' the gummy and they can cause intestinal blockages. Does anyone else have any information on this? I would have SO MUCH more choice if I included gummy choices!
