How long before you wore jeans all day?

I am 5 days post op and going to my daughters meet. It is a 3 hour ride away and I planned on wearing black capri sweats a nicer pair that I have and the team tee shirt. But it is freezing here today and I think I will be cold so I was going to try to put on my jeans. But so not looking forward to them sitting on my incisions from 12 until 12 tonight. Although for the ride I can unbutton them. What would you do?

I wouldn't. The button area really bothered me for several weeks...I would probably do sweats....

Honestly for me it was about 6 weeks or better. I don't like feeling uncomfortable so I held off.

Don't Michelle.  You'll be sorry!!!!!  You want to be comfortable.  Do you have time to go find some new pants??  I would head off to the store ASAP.  Good luck to you and your daughter at the meet!!!!   Jane

I got the jeans to my ankles and said forget it I will put on some make up and a cute pink top (it is her teams color) and forget the team shirt and wear my nice capri cotton pants. They have a elastic waste and I am not going to be uncomfortable all day long just not worth it.

Thanks everyone!

I've been wearing jeans since like 2 weeks post-op with no problems.

It felt like the waist band would rub my incision sites so I used to tuck a shirt in, like a tank top, under the shirt I wore.   Once the swelling went down it wasn't an issue.   That lasted just a couple of weeks.
