We have three sons and vowed no animals but we saw this little cutie at our local pet store and it was all over.  He's a 9 week old Toy Poodle and he's 3 pounds of fun!  He's a good little boy.  They have him registered as "Cream" but only his ears are cream so I assume he'll turn as he gets older.  He sleeps through the night and doesn't potty in his crate.

His name is Thomas.

He is adorable,my grandaughter wants a puppy but we have a new baby due july 30 so i'm trying to convince her to wait. I don't think i'm going to win. We plan on rescuing a dog for the animal control by our house if they have one small enough that we like.

We have two rescued pups and they are awesome! Both are small...they are each 10lbs of pure dynamite! :) Look into other rescue's if you can't find one from animal control by your house...you would be surprised how many rescues there are that are trying to find animals their furever :) homes! :)

What a cutie!  Congratulations

My puppy is 9 weeks old and weighs 16lbs ...   She's a labradoodle so will end up being a big dog.  Poodles are very bright so make sure you keep his IQ satisfied or he'll become a little bundle of destructive mischief!!!

How adorable!  I cannot get oer losing my old dog last month.  We have a cat and agreed that we would not get another dog.  I am 60.  But I still feel so lonely and I think it is going to come down to ~ if you do not want a dog, get out.  I have to wait till I recover first.

Our toy poodle is 7 this year. He is the best dog ever!!! If you would like some advice:
play with his ears and paws as much as you can while he is small. He will need lots of grooming as he ages, and that will make him very comfortable with it.
Teach him many commands right now while he is small. He is smart, I guarentee it.
Buy him lots of toys, my dog has never chewed on anything. He knows what is his. He loves his toys.
Love him! I'm so jealous! He is beautiful!

We have lots of toys for him.  We rub and scratch him a lot so hopefully his first grooming experience will be fine.  I've been wiping his eyes and ears and he seems ok with that.  When should he get groomed for the first time?

I have a toy poodle too.  I really  suggest as early as possible even if it is just for a shampoo.  You are down by Greenwood RIght?
