How were your incisions closed? Drainor no drain?

glued and taped. Drain til released from hospital. Had bad neck shoulder pain, when drain removed pain disappeared like magic.
5 incisions... No drain. 4 just had steristrips and 5th seutured on inside
My surgeon said that if the incision is 2 cm or less they just use steristrips. The 5th incision is the one where they go through the muscle. I believe that's the one the camera goes in. It's a little over an inch long.
My surgery was 3 weeks ago. All incisions are totally healed. Scabs are gone, and most of them just look like old cat scratches now

Internal stitches and glue, no drain. I asked my surgeon why some surgeons use drains and others do not. He said drains are mainly there in case we get a leak and since he had not had any leaks in years, he stopped using drains.
