I agree with you so much.  I never thought it would be this hard. My doctor had me on a a protein shake diet 2 weeks before the surgery and here on day 5 post op, all I want is to chew something and that doesn't taste like a protein shake. Cottage cheese and eggs sound amazing.

Tomorrow's menu will either be cheese or pureed chicken.  Oh decisions, decisions.  LOL

This phase can be fun and challenging.  Having the time to experiment and try new combinations took my mind off the physical aches and pains.  I enjoyed it I hope you are too.

LOL,

oh gosh, if you are into Mexican food at all, my fav at this stage was a scrambled egg with cheese and salsa and a side of ff refried beans.  I was in heaven and it was my mainstay, LOL.

Enjoy!

That is so awesome that you can eat an egg! I remember that being on my list as a good starting food.... but boy they made me sick, I would try one every couple weeks with no luck, and now to this day I fear the egg! Even the smell of one! One of my favorites from the WSL for dummies was called Tuna Spread... 1 can tuna, 2 tbs dill weed, 1 teaspoon hot sause, 1 teaspoon garlic, 1 tbs lemon juice, 1/4 cup light sour cream, 1/4 cup light mayo, and salt and petter to taste all mixed in my magic bullet... I would make this with the tuna, or with flakes of chicken...or my other fav to get mixed in my magic bullet was cooked chicken breast, 1 tbs olive oil, 2 tbs apple cider vinegar, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 2 teaspoon basil, and 1/4 cup to 3/4 cup depending on how soft I wanted it to turn out chicken broth...
