What a difference 2 years makes....
Thank you for posting this! Congratulations on your hard work and your success! You are an inspiration to me and I haven't commented before, but reading your posts about running, fitness and nutrition have really helped me. I'm signed up for my first 1/2 marathon in September and will be training this spring/summer and I'm really excited! Knowing that it is possible because you have done it and you keep pushing yourself helps me to know I can do it, too.
So thank you for all of your posts, advice and cheering folks on - and I can't wait to hear how your races go!
And just to add, I feel the same way about being so sad that I let myself get so obese and stay that way for 20 years (my 20's and 30's!!) and I know that my obesity put me behind in my life goals and wasted a lot of great time when I was supposed to be doing good things! So I'm working to make up for it now. It's all so new - the not being obese - but I'm working to make up for lost time. I haven't forgiven myself quite yet, but I'm hoping that will come.
THanks for writing and sharing that part of the journey. It is important to know others are processing the same stuff!
I'm glad to hear of your story too! Good luck on your training and keep us posted on how you're doing!
