For those you who had their gallbladder removed
I haven't noticed any difference in my digestive system since having my gallbladder out (it came out at about 2.5 years post-op and I am coming up on 6 years out). I cannot imagine why food would "go right through you" other than if you eat a really high fat meal (since we don't digest fats as well without a gallbladder), but you shouldn't be eating high fat meals anyway after RNY.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
I had mine removed years before my RNY.
The only food that went right thru me was anything with a bit of fat... because your gallbladder makes bile, which emulsifies fat- AKA breaks it down into small enough particles that it can be absorbed in the intestines. No bile means the fat hits the intestines and is not able to be broken down as well as before, which results in fatty diarrhea.
Post RNY you are probably eating significantly less fat, so much less likely to have this problem.I say PROBABLY because not everyone limits fats...
