I went in for my 6 month check up today and all my vit levels were great. My sugar was low and my blood pressure drop even more. In march it was 103/56 and now its 96/52. I get dizzy spell already but is that still a normal blood pressure. They weren't conceron about it, but it keeps getting lower and lower. When I started all of this I was 123 over something. Should I be conceroned?

Mine is usually about 100/60, and I'm almost nine months out. But I sometimes have dizziness, and a few times have passed out. My doctor says it is postural hypotension, or orthostatic hypotension. It's a fancy name for getting dizzy when you stand up. It also happens to me when coming to a standing stop for a few minutes after walking vigorously or exercising. The doc had me sit and then stand a couple of times and checked my BP before and after. After it dropped to about 65/40, and I didn't feel dizzy, so I don't know how far it must have dropped when I passed out.

If it becomes a major issue, there are meds they can give you, but I wasn't interested. Just be careful standing up, mostly. Drinking more fluids can help, and they told me to try getting more salt. First time anyone ever told me to have more salt.

But especially, if you feel dizzy, sit right away.

Your kidneys dont perfuse when you Systolic blood pressure is 60 or below. Dizziness is a medical sign that your brain is lacking blood flow. This also means other organ can suffer also, like your heart. Please be careful, monitor frequently and stay in touch with your doctor. I am an ICU nurse. This is nothing to brush off.

Mine was almost always right at 120/72 when I was 300+ pounds.  Now it is 95-104 over 50-60, and most usually comes up about 102/56.  When I am taking pain meds, it is lower, but has never been a cause for concern except when in the hospital after a coup,e of surgeries and taking heavy duty pain meds (when I routinely set off the BP and/or heart rate alarms).
