poll about food intolerances
Please note I'm not asking about foods you choose not to eat, but foods that cause you dumping syndrome or make you feel sick or cause discomfort.
So what foods do you not tolerate well after RNY?

Eggs (most of the time), chicken (most of the time). Both of these cause me to feel sick or have pouch discomfort. Soft breads do too, so I don't eat them.

I am having the same issue with chicken and eggs. Glad to know I have company in that club. I don't like the club...but nice to know I am not the only one.

eggs make me sick, sick, sick. I never cared for them though, always thought they were gross even before surgery.
pasta makes me very uncomfortable (pain and feel bloated, and gives me the craps the next day)
chicken lays in my stomach like a brick
lettuce blows me up like a balloon.
Pretty much anything really dry is a no no for me so far. There is lots of stuff I haven't tried since surgery though. I haven't had any bread, rice, anything with sugar etc.
Turkey is ok on the day it's cooked, but after that forget about it. It'll make me vomit. Also, anything over 14 grams of sugar per serving makes me ill (which is a good thing because it keeps my sweet tooth in check). Fried foods - I can tolerate them somewhat. Too much and my stomach is seeking revenge. Aside from those few things, I've been pretty good with foods not bothering me too much.
I can't tolerate bread or sweets any more (hallelujah!). The worst thing for me is solid meat, be it chicken, beef or pork. Even thoroughly chewed small portions sit hard in my pouch and often cause so much discomfort I end up vomiting. Ground meats mixed with sauces or liquid of some type are fine. It's just the "solid" and dryer forms that really bother me. ANYTHING can make me sick if I eat too much of it (even a single mouthful) or I eat too fast, both hard habits to break from years of binging and scarfing. This has definitely been a BIG learning experience for me, but I truly believe WLS was the best thing I've ever done for myself. :)
