How many calories do you normally burn at the gym?
I've been going to the gym 3-5 times a week now for several months. I usually burn between 450-500 calories each time I go. I usually do a lot of cardio, elliptical, treadmill, bike or I will do one of those & the weight machines. I'm usually there 1.5 hours to 2 hours each time. Just curious what others are averaging.
I don't go to a gym but run regularly with my Garmin & HRM. Statistically, machines overestimate calories burned - for running, rule of thumb is usually 100 cal for every mile. However, as you get cardiovascularly fit, that decreases; I average around 50-60 cals for every 1 mile, and I average around a 9:30-10 min/mile pace.

I only know what the whole FitBit reading is for the day, so I don't know what is attributed to a workout.
