Has anyone ate these ? They appear to be much lower in carbs than regular pasta. Any opinions welcome !

I have tried them several times & I just can't stomach them.  They smell awful!  I did as I was supposed to & rinse, rinse, rinse them & then dry, dry, dry them.  I tried drying them in a non-stick pan on low heat.  They are extremely chewy & rubbery.  Some people like them & I wish I did, but I just can't do it.  Maybe there is a trick I don't know about that makes them better.  I have tried all of Hungry Girls suggestions, but none of them made it any better for me.

they were too much effort for me. i did not really like them.  i cook spaghetti squash and eat it with home made sauce.  I really cant taste the noodles.

You cut the spaghetti squash in half, put in dish with water and cook in microwave or oven. when done you just take your fork and pull it away from the rind and it makes noodles.  i don't really think they have a lot of flavor.  i fixed last night and ate with my own sauce. Noodles are ifffy with me.

Yes I have. They are weird but you get used to it. Follow the package instructions and ignore the odd smell they have before you prepare them. The Hungry Girl website first turned me on to them. Here's a recipe for fettuccini Alfredo that use these noodles. http://www.hungry-girl.com/newsletters/raw/249

I hated them. It was like chewing eyeballs.

For me, they are just so strange, not pasta like but really chewy and strange texture. The smell of them is not very pleasant and they are a little expensive. I personally really enjoy spaghetti squash. I just microwave it and them mix it up in sauce and cheese and bake in the oven for 20 min. That is my favorite pasta alternative.

It's just one of those things you have to try for your self to see if you like ot

Hi, shirataki noodles are a staple in our house. I especially like the Miracle Noodle brand  many varieties, zero calories, carbs, no soy, gluten or salt. They have a Facebook page with lots of recipes easy and nutritious..even a new product ziti which you can add to your favorite sauces and still be concerned with weight loss and management. I rinse well, dry, and add to lots of stir frys too. Great product..I get them also at Whole Foods or online www.miraclenoodle.com.
