Tired of food!

I am almost 4 months out and I'm starting to not like food anymore. I think it's mentally but it's a challenge for me to eat. I have become a pescetarian but am mostly vegan and probably would be vegan 100% soon because fish is starting to disgust me. Has anyone experienced this feeling. My reason for vegan is because I can't tolerate meat, dairy, or eggs at all, trust me I've tried and it isn't pleasant.. Everything I eat starts to taste disgusting after a while and I just dont feel like eating anymore, but do because I know I have too. As far as drinking; water and almond milk is all I drink due to everything else tasting nasty. Anyone have any advise or are there any vegans in here!

I'm a vegetarian but not vegan.  I love dairy.  I wish I didn't, I'd like to be vegan... but I love dairy.

It's common for things to taste different/not good for a while after surgery.  But are you saying this is just now happening at four months out?  You might want to ask your doc about it.

When you say stuff tastes disgusting, what about it tastes bad?  Like, for a few months after my RNY, everything tasted sickeningly sweet.  Are there any flavors you like?

Hi! This feeling of not wanting to eat just started recently; as far as taste I honestly can not tell you what I prefer because my taste buds are all over the place I can start eating something like a salad and then 5 min into eating it starts to taste nasty and bland even if I don't put anything on it. Drinking wise everything tastes so sweet to me so I can't drink it even if its sugar free or watered down so I avoid all drinks. Ex: diet snapple, crystal light, Mio, G2 so I stick to water and even that I'm getting tired of drinking 😀. Ill run this by my doctor next week since I have an appointment then.. Thanks for responding😊

Have you been on any new meds recently?   I have a former neighbor who lost tons of weight because a drug they gave her messed up her sense of taste.   She said everything tasted like "rust."

Nope, no new meds. I had that rust metallic taste for a month and a half after my surgery! No longer have that taste, thank goodness.
