Right now I'm using www.myfitnesspal.com to track everything I consume, my weight, and following the advice of the nutritionist.  The support network i see on this site is exactly what I need to be able to achieve my goals. I use and app called routinely to remind me to take all the vitamins and such. I also have an app called water your body to remember to drink enough water.  This is a huge change but well worth I think.  I can't wait to be able to shop at a regular store for my clothes, the fat guy store has nice clothes and all but very pricey.

Amazing dedication already! That is impressive you are using applications for your food, water, and vitamins. I bet you do superbly with this surgery! I am excited to watch your journey!

My husband LOVES that feature of weight loss. He wears 34 slim pants now and can shop at ANY store and pants are SO much less expensive! Same with shirts. And his underwear is SO tiny now. It looks like children sizes compared to before!

Soon enough, you'll be down to 50s and then WHOOSH, below 44 and that is when you can start buying at any store.

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way.  Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

First: Congratulations for taking this step to be healthy and happy.  It's just my feeling that men accept their obesity more than women and you are breaking that mold.  My best advice is to start exercising right now and get a head start.  I, for one, will look forward to seeing your progress here on OH.

Second, out of the blue:  Are you, by chance, a lampworker or hot glass artist?  I've been a bead maker and small glass sculptor for about 13 years.

Woohoo! Congrats on taking these great steps. I quit smoking as soon as I started my process. I use an app on my phone called cessation nation. I have saved over $870 since October! Two weeks is great, but if you feel like you want to smoke (I still want to sometimes), having an app that shows money saved, life time saved, health benefits, etc is a great way to stick with it. Especially since you will be saying good bye to so many things in a short period. Make sure to find ways to stay motivated that work for you. I am visual, so having that app helps. I also take a lot of pictures. I just wish I had more pre op pictures, I only have a couple. Take a bunch now before that weight starts dropping!

Again, congrats on taking this journey, and welcome to the boards!
