Caresource and Skin removal

Does anyone on here have caresource and if so have you tried to get them to cover skin removal on stomach and been successful??

One woman in our support group tried to get a panniculectomy covered but they denied her saying that there wasn't enough excess skin (and there really wasn't much, so it did not surprise me). (It is common for insurance to require that the skin hang down below the public bone.) The only way to know for sure if they will cover it is to submit a request!

You look fantastic! I recently had my belly skin removed (3weeks ago) and although there wasn't massive amount, only 1.4 pounds, it made a huge difference and it's so nice to not have to tuck in my skin flap into my pants! Good luck with your insurance, I hope they will cover it for you

Thank you everyone! Im not to goal yet still hve about 20 lbs left to go I got set back because i got pregnant just had my baby boy 3 weeks ago and im working on losing thisnlast 20 lbs . I hate having to tuck my belly in my pants its soooo uncomfortable lol. And I cant afford skin removal my self I have 3 kids and only my husband works right now. Hopfully I can get my insurance to cover it. Who has to submitt a request the plastic sugeon or my pcp?
