Anything other than Tylenol???
Aleve is an NSAID and should NOT be taken after RNY becasue of the danger of developing ulcers in your pouch and/or remnant stomach. Your surgeon should have included that in your surgery information.

the ASMBS advises against the use of NSAIDS due to the risk of ulcers. Do you use Alieve often? You're not worried about the possibiity of ulcers?

Tramadol seems to be the "go to" drug to bridge the gap between Tylenol and narcotic pain killers after RNY. It can be addictive when taken for long periods of time, but not nearly as much as opiates. There isn't anything OTC other than Tylenol (which is pretty useless on its own).

Nothing else over the counter. You could see your doc for a script.
