Quest Bars

I love Quest Bars. Best protein bars I've  ever tasted.   The nutrition is great ,low fat, low carb, only 2grams of sugar ,  20grams of protein.  But recently I heard a girl say she dumped after eating them. Have any of you experienced this ?

I've tried most of them. I am currently down to the last one that doesn't make me dump and I think I'm actually starting to have issues with it too. I'm so depressed about this because I love the nutrition values in these.

Love them, the cookie dough is my favorite. I wonder why you would dump? Ever try the Atkins ones? I get them at Rite Aid when I run out of my Quest.

I was weary of the PB&Jelly bar but it's now my favorite.   I find myself wanting the bars instead of other food. Which is great. I haven't had surgery yet. But 2 weeks from now I will be getting RNY .  I just don't want to give up these bars ! Tomorrow they are coming out with white chocolate raspberry , yum!

You may find you won't even like the taste after surgery.  So many things change in our taste.  I am also 14 months out and I don't eat them, never have.  They are good I guess for on the go or to keep in your purse in cause you need some protein and you are not near a place to find healthy food.   Good Luck!   Jane

I love Quest bars, but unfortunately I dump on them.  I tried different flavors and even eating only half a bar, same result.  Most people do great with and them and I haven't seen very many people that dump from them.

I dump on them big time,  And I am 5 years out. They also cause a severe spike in my Blood sugar and then I get very low BS .

Some people can digest and absorb the so called fiber (I know I do) and that may result in Blood sugar increase.

When I added one quest bar to my daily food list (instead of nuts) I gained 10 lbs..in 3 weeks... when I stopped eating them - I was able to lose the weight and was able to control my BSugar

I've enjoyed most of the Quest bars that I've tried, though they tend to be a bit high in calories for me. I wouldn't be surprised if the person who dumped tried the ones that have sugar alcohols - that can be an individual threshold for many. One line has sugar alcohols, the other doesn't. Or like Hala said, it might be the type of fiber used in the bars that just didn't agree.
