So I get the not drinking 30 minutes after as it pushes food through and yadda but if water goes right through our pooch why does it matter if we drink before as long as its not with or right after.

It doesn't matter.  There is no reason not to drink right up 'til time to eat.

Thanks I h e no issue getting my fluids in but after a workout or if I've been outside I hate to stop drinking so I can have dinner in 30. I would like to drink while making my meals still.

Here's my view on this. Early out eating can be difficult due to so much restriction. The reason I was given to not drink was so you wouldn't feel full when it was time to eat. For some, the drinking doesn't prevent them from eating enough where others feel full after drinking.

I do drink up to eating now....drinking fills me up. Yes I know it goes straight through but it still restricts how much food I can put in my pouch.

I've heard others say if your pouch is dry the food stays in there longer and keeps you feeling fuller.

Your pouch is never dry.  The inside of your stomach/pouch/intestines is lined with mucus.  It is wet and slimy all the time.
