Unjury soup and Protein powders
Definitely order the sample pack first! I bought the chicken soup flavor at my preop appointment and it was awesome! They gave me chocolate and strawberry in the hospital and I thought they were disgusting. Thank God I could only drink a little before I felt full. I like Sytrax Nectar. They have fruit flavors that are really good, and I've discovered that the chocolate truffle flavor is pretty good. I haven't tried any of their other dessert-like flavors. You can get a sample pack of Syntrax from www.mybariatricpantry.com. I also like their Matrix line, but those are protein blend, and I've heard they're not as easily digestible as whey protein isolate. It would be so nice if that was wrong ;)
Syntrax Nectar cappuccino is my favorite of all protein shakes. But their vanilla bean torte is good too - I think it tastes just like vanilla ice cream. I've used it to make protein ice cream, and I also use it in a root beer float protein shake.

I am completely addicted to the Unjury vanilla. I mix it with 8oz 1% milk and add 8oz of coffee to it every morning. I have not found any other protein that tastes so good. My labs are excellent and I am a year out. I have also used the chocolate with coffee and I love their chicken soup. I mix the strawberry with Crystal Light lemonade and have been known, on rare occasion, to add a tiny bit of vodka to this combination - pour over ice and garnish with a strawberry. YUMMY!
I liked the Unjury chicken broth immediately post op. I am not a fan of super-sweet shakes and it's one of the few out there that isn't. I've now been using a tip from poet Kelly. I add a pinch of the Unjury unflavored to different things throughout the day. It helps increase protein intake significantly in a way that I don't even notice.
I love to experiment and discovered that a packet of Syntrax Fuzzy Navel mixed with Roadside Lemonade is super delicious. If you don't generally like the protein mixes you should dilute it to 32 ounces. To this combo I add LemonLime Kroger brand of Crystal Lite and real lemon juice. If it sits in the refrigerator for a couple of hours it tastes better. That makes 50 g of protein and it is easy to get it down in an afternoon or evening. I might even mix it half and half to a 32 ounce glass and it is still good but 25 g of protein.
Unjury chocolate, vanilla, and unflavored are favorites too.
The Unjury Strawberry Sorbet and SF pink lemonade get me through the day. I love this combo. The chicken soup got me through the first couple months after surgery and I still keep some around "just in case". I still do 3 protein shakes a day and found if I mix them in the morning or the night before and let them sit in the frig, they are even better. Follow the directions on the soup. I also use the unflavored to add into just about everything.
Unjury customer service is great and the shipping time was really fast.
Good luck,
Susan
