I love my pouch when a 6-inch sub makes two meals
Tonight I decided I wanted Subway for dinner, mostly because I was too lazy to go grocery shopping today and didn't have much to cook. I just love it when I can spend $4.50 on a 6-inch sub and it makes two meals! I'll probably eat the other half for a snack later.

That's awesome! :)

Mostly I eat it. Sometimes I don't eat all of it, but no, I don't have them hollow it out. They will do that if you ask, though. I don't have a problem tolerating bread, though. I don't buy bread or keep it in the house, for the most part, although sometimes lately I have been buying bagels. I tend to eat a lot of bread if I have it on hand and if I eat too much bread, then I end up not getting in my protein. But I don't go to Subway often, maybe once a month or less, and eating a 6-inch bun once a month isn't going to be a problem for me.
I don't eat pasta if I can help it, because it feels uncomfortably heavy in my pouch.

It can't grow back to its full size. Never ever. It's supposed to stretch a little, and it's possible though rare for it to stretch more than normal, but it can't ever go back to its pre-surgery size.

I didn't realize you could ever have bread, pasta or rice after RNY! That was the 1st thing my surgeon told me to ensure I would be serious about doing the right thing post op and not go after my favorite comfort foods. I loved fresh baked bread and said adios to it 2 weeks ago. I would have to be careful to try it though, since it is such a trigger for me when stress-eating prior to surgery. Since I am less than 1 week post-op, I have no plans in the near future of having a slice but it is nice to know some of us can.
