Good news and typical issue

I'm three weeks out today. Had a follow up and I'm doing really well. I've lost 41 pounds from whatever date they're using, and 51.2 from my highest weight in March.

Whoa, foamies. I stopped at the deli and got shaved roast beef. Ground beef was fine so I thought this would be fine, too. Nope. Got my first experience with foamies. I couldn't believe how foamy it was lol. I felt terrible. Wound up throwing up the roast beef, but it was soothing drinks for the rest of the night.

This is so cool! I too had my surgery on June 25th....and I have lost 40 pounds....I also stopped at the deli....only difference is that I tried turkey, with the thin sliced thinking.....I was gonna ask you if you have had any trouble drinking water....I can only sip a couple at a time, and then it feels slightly painfu in my chest and then subsides......

I had no trouble with shaved turkey. If you get it shaved, it's like it's half-chewed already. I have no problem with water. I have to drink at least 80 oz per day. I have 8 oz hot tea when I wake up, 16 oz water to take my morning pills, 8 oz protein drink. Then I drink at work. I have two 20 oz bottles and I drink two or three of those at work. I swear I'm in the restroom as much as I'm in my office. I drink 16-20 oz at the gym, then whatever I happen to drink at home. If I drink less, I get dizzy. Almost passed out one day after scooping the litter boxes. I rarely get pain from drinking anymore. I just got one pain right now from taking half of a potassium pill. Those don't like to go down for me.

I gotcha....didn't you have to crush your meds?

I haven't had to crush anything. Prescription capsules I could swallow whole. Prescription tablets I broke in half. I had two weeks of liquid vitamins, now I'm on chewable vitamins until those are done with. I'm pretty sure I'm going to cut my regular multi into at least halves, maybe quarters. Not sure yet. I may be able to take my tablets whole right now, but I'm not sure and forgot to ask when I went to my follow up yesterday. I was taking my meds as soon as I passed the leak test in the hospital.

Not all doctors require you to crush your meds. My doctor allowed us to take whole any pills the size of an m and m or smaller right after surgery. Larger pills were cut in half and I never had any problems.

Do you take a regular-size multi? You do that in half?
