I have been drinking full milk in my tea since days after my surgery & on a rare time when that wasn't avail I would put in 1/2 & 1/2. Regular milk & 1/2 n 1/2 have less sugars then the light milks.

I am very lactose intolerant since having surgery which really sucks because I love yogurt and just love milk period.  My issue isn't with all dairy though.  I can eat any kind of cheese and do okay.  It's milk and yogurt that get me.  Makes me really sick.

I cannot stomach milk now either. The first time I tried it I was sick. I can handle yogurt and cottage cheese but straight milk is a nono!

I can eat just about any dairy except ice cream and milk. Both have made me super nauseous and light headed. It sucks because i was a huge mild drinker before I had surgery and now I barely touch the stuff.

For a few weeks postop i tolerated skim milk in protein shakes and then all of a sudden milk made me projectile vomit for an hour or two.... Since then I've had maybe 1/2 cup of fat free chocolate milk--I was in so much pain I literally had my head resting on my toilet seat in tears. Since then I avoid milk at all costs. I drink almond milk with cereal on the rare occasion I crave a bit of cereal.

I don't have a problem with milk.  I drink 2%.

Good luck to all of us on our journeys!

I was drinking milk (but 1%, not skim, because skim milk is just nasty white water IMO) from Day Three after surgery with no problems ever.  I now use either 1% (cooking only) or 2% (drinking; usually have a glass right before bed for blood sugar reasons).

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

Haven't recently but I was drinking it with a glug of low fat chocolate and chocolate protein powder in the beginning.  Maybe that was contributing to all the gas......   That issue is a lot better.

No I can not tolerate milk.  (It works better than Miralax and Colace combined.)  Once I realized that and started mixing protein powders with water, my life got much better.  no
