OMG. indecisionI have soo many different emotions running through my head. A part of my is just really excited that I am finally to this point. I have been in this long process since August 2012. I feel like I am mentally prepared for the most part and I am ready to make a complete lifestyle change. I see a lot of people (I am not judging you) that get this surgery and they get to the point where they're a loud to have regular food and they go back to eating smaller portions of junk... I don't want to do that. I want to completely change my way of eating, drinking, living. This isn't something that I just decided to do, as I am sure ALOT of you all feel the same way. I am scared of failure, but hopeful for success. I will take this one day at a time and I might have a lot of questions along the way, so I hope you all don't mind :P I am just scared for the most part about the needle part and being put under. I have a c-section with my son last year but I wasn't put under... SO I am hoping this all goes smoothly. I cannot believe it's come so fast. Whew.. This girl is excited. I am more excited for life than I have been in a long time. Sure, they'll be bumps and curves along the road, but it'll all be worth it.

Wish me luck! :P

Feel free to ask any questions you have as you proceed on your journey. Trust me we have all had questions! The nerves are normal but your attitude and willingness to totally commit to change tell me that you will do great. If you follow your doctor's plan you will surprise yourself with your success. Praying for peace for you as you have your surgery and for a speedy recovery.

I am having surgery August 26 and I feel the same way you do about making the necessary changes in my life for this to be a success.  I too have read post that concern me about gaining the weight back.  I don't want to be one of those.  I know that the hard part in this journey is not loosing it as much as keeping it off.  I hope the very best for you!

Your time is so close!  The staff here at Wood County is phenomenal :)  I do not have even one complaint.  From the moment I first walked into the surgery dept I felt like each and everyone of them cared. The staff on the floor are excellent, and have been there for any need I have had.  Dr. Lalor and his NP have been in numerous times to see me as well. It has all been amazing. Being put under was not that bad.  I remember them telling me they were giving me something to relax and that was it....

Good luck to you!  Next week you will be right here were I am, and it is amazing :)
