Protein bars
I can't justify the Power Crunch bars, although they DO sound really good (wafer=the crunch I've been looking for in a bar!). They only have 13-14g protein each and are pretty high calorically @ 205+ depending on the flavor...Quest bars are 20g protein, less cals. even if they're not as good tasting...
So with that said, OP I think the bars are fine in a pinch, on the go, but if you can make a shake (and save yourself the extra sugar, carbs, fat and calories) or real food, that is always the better route....I have taken bars with me when I am on the go for sure, but sometimes I just bring a shake in a thermos as well which keeps it cold. Always read the labels carefully on the bars too, sometimes they aren't as high in protein and pack in way more carbs than you might think.
