Calling all Slow Losers!
Just wanted to do a check in with all the slow losers out there. I'm kind of teetering between falling apart and telling myself to get up and get over it. I'm 19 weeks and down 35 lbs since surgery (75 total). I am soooooo tired of being fat and I'm in a month long stall right now. I've lost 0.2 lbs this month. Woo. Hoo. BUT... I'm still here, I'm still logging my food, exercising, doing what I can - though I will admit that I really lack motivation right now. Stupid stalls...
So, let's all motivate each other. I can't be the only slow loser out there.
We can do this!
But just to be clear... Do I want to stuff a bagel in the mouth of the next person that whines about losing only 25 lbs this month?
Yes. Yes, I do.
Hi there fellow slow loser, I am one week behind you, my RNY was on 4/4/13 and I have lost 45 pounds. At my 3 month visit the doctor and NUT both said I was behind schedule. You have the right idea, keep doing all the right things and the weight will come off. Are you measuring? I have really noticed in my clothes (gone down 4 pant sizes) and measurements.
Do not be discouraged, you are headed in the right direction.

Since you lost a modest amount before surgery you may find initially the weight appears to come off slow. At a year you'll look back and be amazed of what can happen in a year. stay motivated you're doing well.

I think this is me! I lost 104lbs pre-op
Hello, another slow loser here... I am 11 months post op. Starting weight was 286. Surgery weight was 258, so I lost almost 30 in my 6 months pre-op period. I now weigh 193. SO I have a total loss of 93 lbs. I do not exercise but twice a week, every now and then I get a 3rd day in..... I just keep telling myself, this is a lifelong journey and NOT a sprint..... Just trying to find a balance that will work for me the rest of my life..... Since I am a little older than most on here, (49), I did expect my loss to be a little slower.... so I will keep moving forward and be very proud of what I have lost so far.... Have a great day !!
