Some of you might remember from my post a couple of weeks ago that I was in a car accident and broke my ankle, was in the hospital for a week, had surgery, and now can't put any weight on my leg at all for a couple of months...

I hadn't been able to weigh myself since, and last night I was able to get a scale, and I've lost another 17 pounds since my accident.  I'm 8 weeks post-op and have lost 38 pounds total since, with another 19 in the pre-op liquid diet, for a total of 57.

I am feeling good about this!  I haven't been able to tell really because my usual metrics are how far I can walk without getting winded, and how loose my clothes are, and I haven't been walking and have been wearing pajamas basically for three weeks heh.

I've been worried that my lack of mobility would set me back, so I've been working really hard at the exercises the physical therapist has given me, and also WOW is it good exercise to drag my whole body weight around with a walker.  Also I've been really careful about my eating.

Yay!

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way.  Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!
