The farther out I get the more normal it is for me to drink normally like I used to. I'm not going to hurt anything doing this am I?

When it comes to drinking our pouches are like funnels. The liquid washes right through, so there are no issues. I am a little shy of 4 months out and I can gulp away.

When I was still in the hospital, my surgeon said that I could drink as much as I could tolerate since it just flows thru.

I could definitely chug my water if I wanted to. I accidentally did it a few times and I felt fine

Nope...Fluid quickly passes through your pouch and empties into the intestine, it should be getting easier to return to drinking normal (or close to it). I have no issues chugging water @ 8 weeks out.
