Baked Potatoes

You know I absolutely hate fish. But I may give it a try.  Plus I feel guilty wasting so much money when I'll only eat 4 oz at the most.   I may talk my husband into ordering something that I can have too then just eating off his plate.  But he's a steak man .  Surgeon said stay away from beef and pork .   But the fish is a great idea! Thanks :)

I am surprised by the pork comment, I was encouraged to try that over chicken.

Another option is for him to order a combo. My husband loves steak, too, and tolerates it well. He can order a steak and shrimp/scallop/crab/salmon meal and I just eat the seafood portion. Works out well for us. Be prepared to pay a shared plate charge--it is 12.50 at our favorite place, but dinner would have run me 65 or 70, so I figure it is worth it. :)

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way.  Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

I've had steak at Outback with no problem. I get the filet mignon with broccoli and more broccoli.

Does your surgeon/hospital have a support group? Maybe you could ask for a recommendation for a place in your area that others like for something special that accommodates both of your likings?

Sounds like an AWESOME date night!

Both sweet and reg. Potatoes are on my list of foods. I eat 3 ozs. Of chicken which I have no trouble with and about a 1/4 of baked potato with a little butter and a tiny amount of light sour cream which is on my food /grocery list...no problem...I read on a comment here and my RD says to eat a little bit of carbs with each meal..theres a reason for it and I can't remember what! So I do eat potato. No rice or pasta. Also allowed bread, english muffin, whole wheat or reg. I still only eat 4ozs a meal...protien is 1st ...I stay under 15grams of sugar ...My RD never mention carbs counts but in paperwork I got it gives me a guide plus I ordered 3 books on WLS off Amazon that has a lot of info plus a cookbook and I read all advice here ...between dr. ! Books and here I have a good idea about eating! My dr. Said take it at your own pace and thats what I'm doing. So far no barfing and only 3 icky icky episode s...not eating sweets except fruit and not often. No fast food except plain mashed potatoes fromKFC and wendys chili once! I had a extremely senstive stomach before so I'm cautious about what goes in my pouch! But down 47lbs this day so not bad for 11 1/2weeks! But if I went out know I can eat grilled or baked chicken and potatoes of some kind with no problems! So hope you figure it out and so excited your going to see JG! Love his music!

I would love an English muffin.    I tried sugar free frozen yogurt , it was made with stevia, today . didn't have any side effects. That'll be a nice treat now and then .
