Will you post pictures of your arms and legs? My upper arms and thighs are way bigger than my forearms and lower legs. I'm wondering what I'm going to look like once I lose the weight. Thanks!

I've often wondered that myself.  But I can tell you my legs are huge, they were 39 in November 2012. And as of May 2013 they are 30.  No matter what diet I was on in the past or what exercises I did my legs never changed, so I am very excited about this 9 inches of change in less than a year.  My upper arms on the other hand have only went from 17 to 16.5.  I haven't measured since May so I need to do it soon.  I hope you have done measuring because even though you might not be losing pounds as quick as you want they inches seem to move.  I have lost a total of 17 inches overall since April when I had my surgery.  Thanks for asking this question though.

Thanks! Your legs don't look bad. I'm afraid my thigh skin is will hang down over my knees the way my upper stomach hangs over my belly button. My belly isn't a nice round D shape, it's a B shape. Looks like my pants are too tight, even when I'm naked. My arms are way bigger than yours. I need to start toning them so at least the muscles will look nice. What kind of workouts do you do?

Your arms look great! So tone! I need to start getting some muscles like that.

lol  That is my left arm, my right is holding the camera and has more muscle.  Thanks, but all I can see is the skin hanging down.  I am sure my perception is warped.

Right now I am not working out.  Had surgery on SI joint and still in PT for that.  I was doing yoga and zumba prior to that and will go back to it.  Yoga has strength and zumba is cardio, if you have a fast paced instructor yoga can sometimes be both.

It really isn't going to help you know what YOU will look like to see what others look like.  We all have VERY different bodies with different muscle and bone configurations and we all lose weight differently.  If you have a lot of difference in the size of your upper and lower legs, you probably have a very different body style than someone whose legs are a more uniform size.

If your thighs (and/or upper arms) are very muscular, they are NEVER going to be thin like someone else's who has a different bone/muscle structure (like the one photo I saw had been posted here).  I have very muscular thighs and I have a lot of excess skin and a little bit of residual fat on my inner thighs and I have never seen a photo from anyone on here whose legs look like mine.

Don't set yourself up for disappointment with false expectations from expecting to look like ANYONE else.

This is such great advice ...

One of the reasons that I don't open post pictures of my post WLS body is because it is NOT typical ...   I had so little excess skin and very little body fat that it is unfair to portray it as an expectation for anyone.

I do have it on my profile so "friends" can see it but it is useless as part of an excess skin post!
