vitamin deficiency?
I havent done too well taking my vitamins like Im supposed to, but I do try to eat a little bit of veggies. When Ive gotten my vitamin levels checked its only been my iron thats low. Anyways Im having weird symptoms. it started a year ago may. my toes felt funny, kinda numb but also like the tendons were being pulled and they hurt to bend them back. that went away and then dec this last year my heals started feeling kinda numb and hurting if i hit them wrong. this april it started in my left hand, same sensation numb, hurts if you hit it wrong. now my right hand is acting up. its just the first finger in each hand. and its the muscles or tendons that hurt or feel like their being pulled. is this a vitamin deficiency or some other medical condition? it really has me worried.
My guess would be B12. If not B12, D, thiamine, or copper.
Eating a little bit of veggies won't make up for not taking vitamins. Veggies don't have B12, or at least, not much B12 at all. And chances are you are not eating enough veggies or absorbing enough of the vitamins in them to make up for not taking vitamins.
Are you sure only your iron has been low? It would be really, really unusual if you aren't taking D3 consistently and your vitamin D is not low. Most post ops need at least 10,000 IU D3 a day in order to maintain a good level (80 or above, according to the Linus Pauling Institute). I've known three post ops that could maintain a good level on 5000 IU D3 a day and none that could do it on less than that.

I dont have insurance and my husband lost his job. he starts work tuesday. but I cant get on his ins for 3 month. I cant even afford food right now. Tried to get foodstamps but they wanted a drs letter stating why I cant work. We arent in our regular area as we were stranded 2k miles from home when hubby lost his job. Couldnt take greyhound or amtrak with 2 dogs. Didnt have enough money to rent a uhual or a car. So yeah cant afford to go to a dr that doesnt even know me or my history.
