I had surgery on July 16th. I lost weight the 1st and 2nd week, stalled the 3rd week, lost the 4th and 5th. Here I am weighing in on the 6th week and  I gained 1 pound! I NEVER thought this to be possible! I don't understand it ONE bit and I am stressing out! There is NO way I am eating enough to gain!! NO WAY, NO HOW. I am VERY active and frustrated!!!

Muscle weighs more than fat. Could it be that exercise is resulting in a building of muscle?

Well that would be awsome, but I am not weight training right now. I can't until my follow up on Thursday. I am only walking.

I understand your frustration.  I had surgery the same day as you.  I came home from the hospital 12 pounds heavier than the morning of surgery.  On August 16 I was down 19 pounds since the morning of surgery.  As of this morning, the scale has not dropped at all since Aug 16 and there is no way I am eating more than 500-600 calories a day...

A little water retention, or a need to poop, can do it.

If you get that upset and frustrated by the normal fluctuations in weight that will occur on this journey, you might want to just stay off the scale.

Two words: water weight.

RELAX. You are going to make yourself crazy getting THIS upset over a single pound when you already KNOW it isn't fat!

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
