Tell them every chance you get that you tend to get nauseated.  No one want you to throw up! They will give you anti-nausea meds during surgery and after.  Every time the nurses asked me how my pain was I said i was a bit nauseated and they always gave me both a pain reliever as well as anti-nausea. Don't hesitate to ask for what you need!  you'll do great.  Good luck tomorrow!

They definitely load you up on anti-nausea meds while you're in the hospital and when you get sent home! I got sick about 30 minutes before surgery and they happily took care of that. Don't worry! You got this!!

I dry heaved twice just after I woke up from  surgery but nothing since. I remember feeling it coming on and being terrified it was going to hurt, but It didn't feel much different that dry heaving pre-surgery... Except maybe a little... jumpier? If that makes sense? like the stomach/pouch was moving around more. Then again, I'd just woken up and it could very likely have been crazy anesthesia talking. XD

Anti nausea meds are the best. Remind your surgeon and they will take care of it. Good luck with your surgery.
