Is it ok to eat almonds and other nuts at 20 months out??

ive been eating these about  1/4 cup at a time and never considered this to be bad as long as I chew good.

Then I read somewhere not to do this. Anybody have some input on this subject?

I eat nuts regularly.  They are a good source of protein and healthy fats.  Why would anyone have said they were bad to eat?

I don't know why it wouldn't be ok as soon as you are on a regular diet.

I love the nuts. Crunchy and good. Thanks for the input. I guess every once in a while I just need to be sure I'm doing the right thing.

I eat dry roasted edamame every night, they are an excellent source of protein. Where did you see that it was not good? Obviously if you eat nuts to excess then calorically that's not good (and can be high in fats), but in moderation of course it is...

I was allowed to eat nuts as soon as I was cleared for all but extra hard to digest foods (broccoli, pineapple, etc.).  Be careful about the serving size, though, because the fat in nuts (even though it is a "healthy" fat) means a lot of calories.  Just an ounce of almonds (which is what I usually eat, and is 24 almonds (probably about the 1/4 C you are eating) is 170 calories and 15g of fat.

I eat almonds all the time. I get the 100 calorie packs of dry roasted almonds. So yummy!
