Listen, I am a licensed practicing attorney. I have not read each and every one if Kelly's posts, but in the many years I've been apart of this forum, and the many posts of Kelly's that I have read, I have never seen any advice that was legally actionable. Kelly has been incredibly careful in how she words her posts, the advice she does give (which is usually "what does your surgeon say?"), and the information she disseminates. Her disclaimer absolutely means something on a forum, and she is wise to include it in her signature. You claim you have been "incredibly nice" to her, but I suspect there is some other agenda present.

* Any words present in this or any of my posts are not intended to be advice, legal or otherwise. Please consult a legal professional in your state and in the field in which you request advice. Please consult the appropriate state bar to discern whether the attorney you consulted has a disciplinary history and/or is properly licensed. Please forward all funny lawyer jokes to this poster as she finds them hysterical.

LOL.

I suppose now I have to think of something witty to put in MY signature as a disclaimer that any advice I give about people throwing out the scale for a while to reduce their anxiety is not intended as professional Psychological advice!

Saterry... I need your help, LOL!

Yes, you better.  I mean, what if I read your advice and so I throw my scale out the window and it hits someone in the head and they sue me?  I would, of course, then sue you because you advised me to throw out my scale.

Perhaps we'd all better start saving up for all our upcoming legal fees.  Posting on OH is going to get expensive!

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way.  Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

Love it! That all makes so much sense, and is reassuring.

So, here's a question: If you always stop eating at or just before full, will your pouch still grow some? My nutritionist told me that I'd start at and ounce of food and work up to about 1/2 a cup or 1 cup. But if I never stretch it out with eating or drinking, won't it just stay the same size?

I guess if you never ate more than an ounce or two at a time, it might not stretch at all.  I imagine it would be pretty hard to do that, though.  I know I'd be awfully hungry these days if I only ate one ounce of food.  Plus you'd have a heard time getting enough calories and protein down the road, if you never ate more than an ounce of food.

I don't know about anyone else, but after 10 years there are days when I can eat a full plate, but my stomach always shrinks back down when it gets empty. There's been numerous occasions where I missed breakfast, went to eat a protein bar at about 11 and I could only handle one or 2 bites, which doesn't help how shaky I'm feeling by that point because I then need to wait for my stomach to settle before I can even get a protein shake in, as was my cir****tance this morning and yet last night I had one and a half chicken breasts, along with potatoes and green beens. It doesn't pay to sleep through one's alarm clock.
