water is the only thing that doesn't make me feel sick

I am 6 days out of surgery. Sometimes I can "eat" with no problems, usually in the morning. As the day goes on I feel nauseous and can't stomach the taste of pretty much everything. Water is Ok though. Is this normal or should I talk to the Dr about it?

I had nausea for several weeks...maybe 5 or so. Even water hurts sometimes and I am 3 mos out. My body talks to me all the time. Lol..."slow down"!   "Too much".   " not that!"    Lol. It forces me to listen now.

Some people experience post-op nausea. Call your doctor Monday morning to get anti-nausea meds. Be sure to stay hydrated and start getting some protein.

Hope you feel better soon!

Dealt with it for about 8 weeks. Peppermint tea helped me a lot.

I'm 3 weeks out as of yesterday and I am still having a lot of nausea. Drinking isn't so bad (except protein shakes), but almost anything I try to eat makes me feel sick. I actually planned on calling my doc this morning (I see him next Monday), but amazingly I ate some breakfast today and didn't get sick.
