breathing issues 5yrs out, anyone any ideas??
Hi everyone, I am 5yrs out and am having breathing issues that i didnt even have when I was overweight. My anemia was bad but now fine, and i still have breathing issues. Can't walk more then 10ft for 4 weeks now, been checked for asthma, heart issues, blood clots and no one can figure out a thing. Has anyone experienced this?
Thank you
Thank you
Any chance you've developed acid reflux? I had HORRIBLE acid reflux before RNY, but I thought it was breathing issues....did the whole asthma thing for a long time, then they assumed it was anxiety, so I did the whole anti-anxiety thing...still no relief. Finally an ENT put a scope down and realized I was refluxing acid into my lungs. Its not common for reflux to develop post RNY, much more likely with the sleeve and lap band, but I thought I would mention it.
I am with a cardioligist now, he did do far a stress test I could only do the treadmill for two minutes, a home heart monitor, and a vein scan. And he has come up with nothing next week I have a heart echo. There going to do a scan for a blood clot in my stomach he had said they were common with this surgery.
Thank you for your reply, I did not have reflux before and noone has brought it up. Would I have any other symptoms other than breathing issues? This has been driving me crazy, i could do the elyptical for an hour before this breathing started. It's been 4wks straight, everyday all day. 8wks ago I started w heart palpatations and then 4wks into that I had blood work done, immediatly after blood was taking I started having the breathing issues and I have no problem with needles, was a diabetic forever. Then the Dr saw my iron ferrin level was real low a 4. I s
The heart palpitation and shortness of breath may not be related.
I know it may sound crazy - but have you had Peterson hernia evaluated ? Diaphragm can be affected - you may have no pain - but difficulty breathing. Google that.
