Sounds like you are doing fine. I got the cath the night after surgery. My first ever. Totally sucked but I could NOT go and bladder scan said I was FULL. LOL you will be out of there before you know it. welcome to the losers bench!

Yay, Tracy! It's great to hear from you. Hope you get to go home today.

Girl, I feel ya on the bladder and bowel issues. I had a catheter placed during surgery and they took it out Tuesday night (sx was on Mon). My bladder and bowels were being a bit lazy and sluggish. I can relate to that numb feeling, but I seems to be back to normal now.

Sending you happy go-home vibes! Keep us updated!

Try lifting your tummy a bit to urinate. Helps things move.

Yep! Learned that when I was pregnant. Told my OB I had to go, but couldn't get it out, he said "Lift that baby up, mama!" and voila...tinkle time!

:)

Glad you are on the mend!

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way.  Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

I would run the water in the bathroom or watch the drip of my Iv.  Glad you are doing well.I would ask them if they are giving you enough fluids also. You are allowed to ask.
