I know it is very painful and his timing is the worst.  You have to take care of yourself please.  :0)

It really is. I can't focus on anything but the hurt I have. My head and eyes hurt so much from crying.

That breaks my heart that you were so let down just when you needed the support the most.  Just remember, Selfishness demands, “What’s in it for me?”, while Love asks, “What can I give?”.....If at this time he isn't giving what you need...then he isn't what you deserve.

Call friends, keep loved ones close and each day will get brighter!  You are working towards a fantastic goal of health and wellness and anyone who loves you would be celebrating with you.

You are in my prayers! And remember that you are worth so much more.

Thank you that was very sweet and much needed advice. You're right, my family and friends are happy and celebrate for me even if I lose a pound. He was never really congratulatory. I kept telling him ur letting me down you leaving me at a critical stage and I kept thinking he would give in and realize how much he loved me but I was so very wrong

I'm so sorry he did this to you! I know it's very hard but try to take this and turn it into something positive. Don't allow some dude to make you feel like ****! My mom had her RNY in 2004, and she insisted that I not visit her in the hospital. My step dad who was pretty much my dad kept coming home super late like 2am. I *knew* something was wrong!!! Us chicks know when ****s going down LOL Anyways, he started cheating on my mom while she was still in the hospital!!! So, 2 days after she gets home he tells her nonchalantly while she's drugged up on the couch that he's leaving. When I went with her to her first post op appt. the surgeon said it is VERY common for things like this to happen.

It took me 3 years to go forth with getting surgery because I was afraid my BF wouldn't be supportive enough because he is overweight too. Thankfully so far he has been but had he been an asshole, I refuse to let him make me feel like I made a mistake! Bottom line, you did this for YOU!! It's okay to feel depressed, it's natural but please at least drink fluids!!

You WILL find someone who i'm sure will ADORE you!  F**K him!

Definitely seek out some type of support whether it's counseling or going to a meeting thru your surgeon. This too shall pass!

Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.

I just wanted to say to you, that he doesn't deserve you and you can do better!! Anyone that leaves you when you need them the most, is not worth it. I know you you are heartbroken, but concentrate on recovering from your surgery and your health. The right one will come along. I am telling you the same thing, I told my daughter my daughter just last week. I am having my surgery on Dec.3, 2013 and I want to wish you the best!!

Didn't mean to type "my daughter" twice.
