Chewing Gum After Surgery
I don't know of any reason not to chew gum after surgery.
Don't swallow it. It's possible, though unlikely, it could get stuck in the opening between the pouch and small intestine.
But chewing it? I chew it and have no problems.

I know. It seems some surgeons think adults are not able to avoid swallowing gum but I haven't accidentally swallowed gum since I was about four.

I don't make it a habit of swallowing gum, so I think I am good.
Besides, what am I 5? Maybe I should check to see if there is a ban on swallowing marbles or coins. ;)
