survived thanksgiving

I had my last Thanksgiving with a big stomach hopefully.  I hope to have surgery in February 2014.  Hopefully next year I'll be slim and only be able to hold a few bites.  Merry Christmas to everyone.

We were invited out, and what a treat to not fix the whole meal!  One of the hosts had RNY before I did and while it wasn't a topic discussed, I noticed that she stuck to a limited plate as did I.   I had bites of this and that and couldn't eat half of it.  The turkey was a little dry, the pies were to sweet...I don't know why bakers think that because it is a celebration that desserts have to be killer sweet so I had a taste and was satisfied.  The nice thing about it was they sent leftovers home with everyone.  We can eat for a week.  

Oh yes, I couldn't help but notice how much some others ate!  OMG how do they do it?
