saw my PCP today
I hope you get relief, but if not, please find a pain specialist. PCP's are not always the best at pain management.

I know how much of a milestone this was for you - you make me feel proud! I know you mentioned needing human touch, but you do have the next best thing - hug your furry friend! I'm praying that you will soon find some relief - hang in there, my friend!

Oh gosh, I hope you do not have fibro! I know several ladies at church that really struggle with that!
HUGS!

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way. Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!
To be honest, while I don't want to have fibromyalgia, at this point what I want most is to know what's causing the pain and therefore to be able to start working on a plan for managing it. So even if it is fibro, I'll be happy to have a diagnosis.
Please note: I AM NOT A DOCTOR. If you want medical advice, talk to your doctor. Whatever I post, there is probably some surgeon or other health care provider somewhere that disagrees with me. If you want to know what your surgeon thinks, then ask him or her. Check out my blog.
Kelly,
I am 29 years old and have severe arthritis from a injury in my knee which has now spread and is very painful in the cold months. I also have fibro and I like you was pleased to know what was causing the pain in my entire body. I haven't had any kind of trauma or anything of the sort and have been dealing with it for several years now. I take Tramadol and it doesn't hardly touch the pain on some days. I take 100 mg x3 a day of it. I have also found that stress and uncontrollable situations cause it to hurt way more than normal. My pcp doesn't want to give me anything other than the Tramadol as she says it's my weight and when I have my surgery on Monday and start losing the weight that it will go away......I personally don't think she has a clue!! When I lived in TN I went to therapy so many times before they tested me that my insurance wouldn't pay anymore. I am now going through physical therapy again!!! and with no results!!! I truly hope that you have a pcp that understands the fibro and will go to lengths to help you stay comfortable at least. I still have the pain on a daily basis and you can really tell in my mood as well. I mean who is going to be cheerful when they are hurting all over their body.
